Buy Local Week has passed, but the holiday shopping season is in full swing. Every year, Americans do most of their holiday gift shopping the week after Thanksgiving, starting Black Friday. In 2011, Coloradans spent 12.6 billion dollars during the holidays, which represents a huge chunk of annual revenue for retailers. Since this week has such a big impact on your neighborhood retailers, we've proclaimed this week to be Buy Local Week.
