Buy Local Week

Buy Local Week

Local Shopping GuideFor the seventh year, Mile High Business Alliance members are mobilizing Coloradans to shop at local businesses first. Every year, Americans do most of their holiday gift shopping the week after Thanksgiving, starting Black Friday. In 2012, Coloradans spent more than 10 Billion dollars during the holidays, which represents a huge chunk of annual revenue for retailers. Since this week has such a big impact on your neighborhood retailers, we've proclaimed this week to be Buy Local Week.

A shift of just 10% of your holiday purchases from chain stores to local retailers could translate to a $3 Billion boost to Colorado's economy this year.
